Troubleshooting

1) iSHALA PLAYBACK STOPS IN SLEEP MODE.

This happens because of the Power Saving settings/behavior of Android. This shuts down any apps running in background to save battery power and thus stops iShala playback. To correct this, please do the following:

  • First uninstall the app and restart your phone.
  • Now go to play store and reinstall the app.
  • Once done, launch iShala and you will see a pop up notification (as shown in the image below). Please allow that.

This should resolve the issue.

2) UNABLE TO REINSTALL THE APP AND/OR INSTALLATION ON A NEW PHONE.

It's your email address/Apple IDthat is used for iShala registration. So in case of app reinstall or phone change simply use the same account (email address/Apple ID you purchased iShala with) on your new phone to login to Play/App Store and you will be able to download and install iShala without any charges.

3) UNABLE TO REINSTALL EVEN USING THE SAME GOOGLE ACCOUNT.

This happens sometimes when Play Store doesn't recognize the purchase and the user has to login afresh. Please try the solution below: -

  • First sign out (from Play Store)
  • Clear the cache (data) for Play Store app from Application Manager (on your phone).
  • Restart your phone and sign back in (Play Store) with the same email ID.
  • You will then be able to see the purchases (iShala) in your My Apps & Games Menu > Library Tab in the Google Play Options (Right upper corner).

4) APP STUCK AND/OR PLAYBACK CRACKLES WITH GLITCHES.

This happens when some files get corrupted. Please uninstall the app, restart your phone and reinstall the app. This should resolve the issues.
